I like cocktails. Quite a lot.
So when I was invited to a cocktail making class to celebrate the opening of All Bar One in the Trafford Centre, you could say I was a smidge enthusiastic.
I’m a big fan of the All Bar One franchise; when I was at university in York, it was my go-to place for a post-night-out breakfast – the chorizo potato hash was an absolute lifesaver after a night on the razzle dazzle. All Bar One cocktails are a dream, too; when flying to Marbella recently, I may have got a little tiddled on one of the gin teapots at the airport. No shame.
The new All Bar One at the Trafford Centre is a beaut – the interior is seriously luxe. It’s the perfect location for a cocktail masterclass, which was held upstairs at a private table and bar area; myself and a few other bloggers got the opportunity to whip up 3 different kinds of cocktails, my favourite of which had to be the French Martini (y-uuum. YUM.)
The guys that ran the masterclass were a real treat, and made us all have a great time – I’d really recommend booking a class with them before a night out. After the class, and sufficiently tipsy on gin-based goodness, my friend and I headed downstairs to the restaurant and enjoyed some OMG-amazing dumplings and pad Thai for dinner – genuinely, the food was divine. I’m hungry just thinking about it.
If you’re looking for somewhere to take a group of friends before heading into Manchester (it’s a super short taxi journey to Deansgate from the Trafford Centre – God bless Uber), seriously, go here – the decor is beau, the cocktails are delish, and the food is to die for. But if you go, can you invite me, please?
