THE VALENTINO ROCKSTUDS

This week, I had a decision to make; did I pay my rent, or buy a pair of Valentino Rockstuds?

If you’ve not cottoned on by now, I took the plunge and finally (finally) got my hands on a pair of iconic Rockstud heels. Much like the Hermes Birkin, Chanel 2.55 and YSL Tributes, I class these heels as utterly iconic; they’ve been on my list-of-things-to-buy for ages, so it was a momentous occasion when they eventually became mine.

As these shoes are so beautiful, they deserved a blog post all on their own. I opted for the mid-heel, rather than the flat or stiletto; part of me does feel buying a kitten heel betrays all fashion rules I live by, but I think the lower height is offset by the edgy studding and pointed toe. (Plus, being able to actually walk in them massively improves the cost-per-wear ratio.)

They’re super comfy, which is a massive relief, and they look amazing with jeans, skirts, and dresses; if you’re dithering about parting with the dosh, just do it. I promise you won’t regret it.

  1. Love the rockstud, but only on other people. My feet are too large that even the 100mm version is too low for me. Yet here you make the lower 65mm version look amazing.
