I LOVE SPARKLE. I don’t care that it isn’t grown up and frankly, if I could run my daily errands in head-to-toe glitter, I would.

Once Christmas rolls around, it becomes socially acceptable to wear sequins in public. I throw myself into this trend with a worrying enthusiasm, and this year is no exception.

Enter this little number from H&M, which is officially my favourite purchase this year and possibly the most impractical item of clothing I’ve ever bought. A fully lined sequinned turtleneck for less than £30, this top is so fabulous, I actually had to write a blog post in its honour.

A mixture of matte and gloss sequins means this isn’t too 90s-glitterball-esque, and the high neck puts a bit of a grown up twist on the whole affair. (I do find I can sometimes look about 15 in sequins so this is a big plus. Not done properly, it can look reminiscent of school prom, where 50 girls all turned up wearing that French Connection sequinned bodycon number. Remember those?)

Just to add to the glitz and glamour of this piece, it’s been featured in vogue, so I’m basically one step away from being a model. Plus, you get a free copy of the December edition when you snap this baby up – what a treat.

I’m going to pair this bad-boy with a structured black skater skirt, black pointed stilettos and an oversized silver clutch bag. Keep your eyes peeled for an outfit post around Christmas, when I’ll probably be wearing this top every day…

Are you a lover of sparkle? How do you style your glitz?
